The city of Albuquerque has put together a series of five neighborhood walking tours. And over the next four months we plan on doing all of them. Nob Hill was our first tour and our second will be The Raynolds Addition, just west of downtown Albuquerque in mid-December.
We met at the Nob Hill Shopping center at 1:30pm on Sunday November 16th, and we waited for stragglers for 10 minutes before setting off on our walk. Most everyone took turns reading the points of interest along the map which made the tour more fun. The tour was really well done (good job Albuquerque!); we really got a chance to experience the neighborhood. I've lived in Albuquerque pretty much all of my life and I saw the neighborhood in a whole new light. I feel much more confident as to where things are located in Nob Hill, and found a whole bunch of shops and restaurants to try in the future (perhaps future events?). And I really enjoyed learning about the history of Nob Hill. We really couldn't have asked for a better day, it was 64 degrees in November! Because it was so beautiful, we went to Kelly's Brew Pub (Nob Hill) and ate on the patio, after the walk. And from there a few of us walked across the street to Urban Outfitters to look around. All in all a great day! Thank you everyone who came out, and making the event successful.
I hope you enjoy the pictures, and hopefully we'll see you next month!
