On a day full of sunshine and blue skies, Lewiston New York was warmed to the upper 80's
as cars rolled in from everywhere. People from Rochester, Buffalo, Cheektowaga, West Seneca, Williamsville, Kenmore, Canada, Nevada and other places gathered for the big musical event of the summer.
Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo performed to the delight of a crowd estimated at around
fifteen thousand on Tuesday, August 14th, 2007. With special guest, National touring artist
Lennon (Murphy) opening up on Artpark's Outdoor Amphitheater for their weekly Tuesday in the
Chairs, blankets and people everywhere the eye could see up the hill, down the hill, in
front of the stage, and near the river's edge. There were burgers, dogs and beer served
to satisfy everyone's appetite as the sun warmed the entire countryside. Wow what a sight to
see so many people gathered on a beautiful summer day to enjoy the great oudoors and music
I met Sonia from MeetinRochester there along with two co-workers Lisa and Sherry. I came
with my cousins Mike from Buffalo and Ben from Nevada. We had such a good time enjoying the
hits of Pat Benatar like "Heartbreaker", "Love is a battle field", "Hit me with your best
shot", "Invincible"-from the "Billie Jean" movie and more. Plus we were treated to some
duet songs like "Promises in the Dark and "We live for Love" sung by Pat Benatar and Neil
All in all it was well worth getting there early to find good parking and putting up with
the long wait to exit the park to go home. Sonia and I kept in contact by cell phone as we
monitored each other's progress toward the exit. You should have been there we had a blast!
